At 8 years old I still remember the sheer joy of being given my very first camera. I had that old thing until I was nearly 20, it took square photos and waiting for the film to be processed and come back seemed like an eternity. Finally though, I graduated to an SLR.

After years of weddings, portraits and children’s photos as well as being published in sports magazines and newspapers I started my own family. The camera was never far from my side and I think my children are the most photographed on earth even with the current age of selfies and phone cameras!

Since starting my business again (yes I use digital now lol) weddings became my passion, and the part of the wedding I adored more than any was the quiet time with the bride. The bride’s portraits have always been a unique, fleeting and intimate moment right before a girl becomes a woman joined with the love of her life. A privilege to witness. That is what led me to portraits.

Every woman, without exception, is beautiful. Now it is time to show as many woman as possible this is true. Women have fears, stories and yet a desire to capture at least one photo they can proudly pass down through the generations. I understand this as I feel the same.
